About Me

Hello friends! I’m Louisa, a British girl living the dream in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with my amazing (not just because I say so) husband Jesse, our crazy dogs, Blue and Barley and soon to be baby girl.

I am an Assistant Professor at Michigan Tech University (which is why we live in the small town of Houghton, that can average 100 - 300 inches of snow in a season). My passions are swimming, cycling, running,  triathlons, photography and good food. I love to express myself creatively and given the chance I would take photos of you.

In July 2011 I married my best friend, it was a beautiful celebration in Bloomington Indiana (where we met).

Here a few random facts about me:

o   I am from England, and proud to be British

o   I moved to Bloomington Indiana in August 2000 for graduate school

o   I started running in 2004 and haven't looked back

o   I am a to-do list making freak

o   I absolutely love lemon and orange cakes

o   I am 5′ 8.5″ tall 

o   I am scared (nope TERRIFIED) of spiders

o   My favorite fruits are oranges and pineapples

o   I started this blog for our little baby

o   I love re-doing houses (I just wish my husband felt the same)
